Question Unknown part from prebuilt pc

I was taking apart an old prebuilt pc, and I found a part that looks familiar but I have no idea what it does. On the back it's called an SFA Converter Board. I searched google but didn't get any results. I'm assuming it's one of those parts that are only found in prebuilt computers. I'm curious...

Question How to test RAM without extra sticks?

I bought a new computer no more than 5 months ago, and the whole time I kept getting repeated blue screens. I ran Memtest in each slot with my single stick of RAM and three of them reported errors, while one just crashed the PC completely. How can I be sure it's my RAM and not my Motherboard...

[SOLVED] My PC is crashing, would could cause this?

Ok so this is the answer, I for one, had a broken graphics driver. I uninstalled it and reinstalled and then that was fine. Second, IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL was because of an unstable GPU oc. Problem resolved.

[SOLVED] What specs should I use?

I don't like the idea that there are pins located directly on the cpu for AMD. Intel has the pins on the mobo which makes it less likely to bend them. Like I said before I never had AMD but I've always had good lifetime and performance from Intel. I just built my first PC 3 months ago so I...

[SOLVED] What specs should I use?

I have almost the same specs, I have the 16gb version of RAM, the same mobo, the cpu is 8600 instead of 8400. That setup though looks great, not sure about the 1050ti because I've never had one. I use the GTX 1060 6gb and it runs very well. I don't know anything about AMD so I can't help you...

    [SOLVED] Upgrade Question

The GPU from what I've seen is a little better than my 1060 6GB, but I couldn't be 100% sure. If you plan on even better graphics I would say to upgrade the GPU to the 1080. The CPU looks fine with the speed (maybe get a 6 core) it's at and your RAM is great. If you're mostly gaming then the...
