Discussion HP TG01 Power Supply Upgrade WIP

You don't technically need this adapter. The motherboard requires two 12 volt 4 pin connectors for power. After market PSU comes with 1 that fits, they are both the same 4 pin connectors. The adapter I bought did plug in and left 2 pins hanging out but the 4 pins that would have been making...

Question Best prebuilt under 1200usd forWar zone and ready or not

The Ryzen 5 5600g is not "comparable" to the Ryzen 5 3600. The 5600g is 100 places higher in rank than the 3600 on passmark and take a look at actual benchmarks View: https://youtu.be/sJMe_rpVVJE it outperforms the 3600 at every turn until you get to 1440p gaming, the gap is pretty close...

Question Can I change my supply?

You are only partially correct. They do not supply the same power but when used within their power restraints are perfectly safe. The sata connector can handle 54 watts. The GTX 1660 pulls 129 watts peak and 89 average at max load. The slot provides 75 watts so 129-75=54 so for peak wattage the...

Question Can I change my supply?

If you get the power supply adapter I linked previously, you can install whatever PSU and GPU you want. If you just go with the sata to 6 pin pci-e cable, you'll kinda max out at the GTX 1660. I can't re-watch right now to see if the ti or super models will work. Maybe the RTX 3050 now but...

Discussion HP TG01 Power Supply Upgrade WIP

So I got the HP TG01-2003W gaming computer pretty cheap. It games nicely but basically locks you out of any meaningful upgrades besides ram and storage space. Since other HPs have proprietary connectors that are overcome by an adapter cable like this one...

Question Can I change my supply?

A standard power supply will fit in the case. The motherboard requires a 24 pin to 6 pin cable adapter. I like to use this one because I have prime https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B06XW7RWNH. With that 300 watt you can get a GTX 1660 working with just a SATA or molex to pci-e 6 pin power adapter...
