Just adding to your answer, I found EVGA g3 650w and 750w for the same price and 550w for $10 Less, for future proofing and prolonging another psu upgrade for as long as possible is a 650w-750w better than a 550w for a 300w system? Will the psu last longer if it’s running at a lower percentage...

basically i'm new to pc building and are just inquiring the difference between an evga g3 650w psu and the much cheaper g1 version. i can get the g1 for $130 and the G3 for $180, what makes the price so different
