Ok so in device manager, it says this under IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers; Currently, this hardware device is not connected to the computer. (Code 45) The device is the Samsung EVO 960 M.2. I have shut down the PC, pulled it out & reseated, same thing.

Gotta be something we're missing. When window's payback settings window is open & realtek sound enabled, it's sound meter moves with the sound. So it detects the sound & also detects when a device is plugged in.

Yes I do. I reinstalled it all tonight to make sure all was installed that I needed. Have also tried plugging into various jacks on the board.
