MSI Z270 A Pro audio issue

I have a red/white RCA to 3.5 cable plugged into the line out jack on the board, the board's HD audio is enabled via bios, but no sound. I tried the other 5 jacks to be sure I had the right one but no luck.

1. Do you hear any sound if you plug headphones into the line out jack?
2. What about plugging into the front of your case?

My HS is usb.
No jacks on the front as it's a Phantom410 case.

Have you checked your Playback devices in "Control Panel > Sound" to make sure they are Enabled and the volume is not muted?

Done all that and gone back & forth with them. I also reinstalled the drivers etc.

Do you have the "Realtek HD Audio Manager" icon in your system tray?

Yes I do. I reinstalled it all tonight to make sure all was installed that I needed. Have also tried plugging into various jacks on the board.

If you've done all that and the sound doesn't work I'd just RMA it.

Gotta be something we're missing. When window's payback settings window is open & realtek sound enabled, it's sound meter moves with the sound. So it detects the sound & also detects when a device is plugged in.

Just plugged a headset into onboard audio & it works. Just cannot get sound using the rca to 3.5 cable to the receiver.
