    Question PC wont boot

Yes, but it's not even getting to the CPU and I've tried 2. Only other thing it should be running before the CPU is the MB and PSU right? If the PSU is good then I think it's gotta be the board. I'll pick one up today and try.

    Question PC wont boot

PC I built for my son about 4 years ago suddenly wont post. When I turn it on all the fans spin up, and the EZ Debug light stays on CPU. I have a power supply tester and it came up ok. I tried booting with everything removed...still the same deal. I even pulled the heatsink to see if the CPU is...

    Question Which DDR5...5600mhz CL28, or 6400mhz CL32?

Thanks! I'll stick with the 5600/CL28 then for now. It's pretty cheap...can always upgrade that later once there is more stability.

Question Building a new PC - Torn on GPU

4070...not the TI, that's way more expensive here. I went ahead and ordered the 6950xt. It was cheaper and I think is just better.

    Question Which DDR5...5600mhz CL28, or 6400mhz CL32?

Just looking to grab some decent DDR5 for a new build without going crazy. I can always upgrade later. There are a couple reasonably priced GSkill 2x16 kits available for the same price. So...5600mhz CL28, or 6400mhz CL32. This is on an AM5 board with a 7600x if it makes any difference. I...

Question Building a new PC - Torn on GPU

Well...I ordered the whole PC and wound up going with an AM5 board and a 7600x. Might lose marginal performance to the Intel I was considering, but I also saved some cash because of sales, got a nicer board, and it will last me a long time with AM5 I'm sure. Still haven't picked a GPU though...

Question Building a new PC - Torn on GPU

I don't upgrade my CPU often. With AM4 I went in early with a 1600x, I gave the board and processor to one of the kids and just got him a 5600. Should last him a while longer. I'd probably do the same with AM5...grab one now, and maybe an upgrade end of life. That said, I had to buy a higher end...

Question Building a new PC - Torn on GPU

This is me lol. I had always used Nvidia. I decided to try AMD for once and I very briefly had a 5700xt...crashes galore and the thing ran hot as the sun. I returned it. Maybe I will have to give AMD another shot. On paper they are more in line with what I'm looking for.

Question Building a new PC - Torn on GPU

Been reading up more on the various cards and in particular issues starting to come up with the amount of memory. Might be worth holding out for a GPU with at least 16gb? I can grab a used 3090 for about 900 bucks...which is the minimum price point for a new 4070. That might be worth grabbing...

Question Building a new PC - Torn on GPU

I was an early adopter when AMD got back in the GPU game. I'm not doing the poor driver BS again lol. Not a bad idea going with a 760...I could save a good bit there. But the difference between the DDR4 boards and DDR5 boards is only like 20 bucks. Same goes for 32gb of decent DDR5 ram vs DDR4...

Question Building a new PC - Torn on GPU

I am building a new PC in the very near future (coming days/weeks) but I'm really not sure about the GPU. I will likely be going with a 13600K, Z790 (looking at the MSI pro Z790-A Wifi), with a cheaper DDR5 kit until there's more out there. I like playing fairly graphic intensive games on...

[SOLVED] Can game redemption codes be transferred???

Just tried to give it to someone and you have to have a qualifying card installed to redeem. Once you redeem it's transferred over to your Blizzard/Acrivision account, but it would have to be redeemed on my system I guess first.

[SOLVED] Can game redemption codes be transferred???

Ok cool. I know the AMD codes have a system check thing that makes sure the GPU is installed...but then it just gives you a code AFTER that to redeem on a store page. Geforce one stays linked to the geforce account, but I guess it doesn't matter if the GPU is there or not. Anyone wanna swap? :)
