When updating BIOS should I put the downloaded file on the USB disk as .rar or as the file itself

So lets say i want to update my bios from 1.10 to 2.50,but there are another updates between them like 1.20,1.50 etc. Can I update directly from 1.10 to 2.50 or i must do ALL updates like 1.10, 1.20 and 1.50 to get to 2.50?

This is not the regular status bar.Anyways I managed to fix the issue,It was caused by the ''win8 classic shell'' program or whatever it is called.I just reinstalled it and it worked like a charm.Thanks for the answers though!
