Yes, I it is in fact CMW16GX4M2D3600C18. I will swap it out for the CMW16GX4M2Z3600C18 and give it another shot. Will update on the progress, thanks!

By the way, with XMP disabled and speed set to "auto", the speed of the memory is set to 2133. Is this a case of the CPU not being compatible with the 3600MHz?

Yes, they are in the same dimm slots as in your diagram. I can't actually fit a stick into A1 even if I wanted, as there is not enough clearance with my Hyper 212 evo. Thanks!
