    Nevermind... it fails memtest86 at 2900... guess I will have to settle for 2800 then.

    Yes, I tried stepping it up and it maxed out at 2900 before the computer wouldnt boot. I guess this is the max for me :/

    Not that I doubt you, but would you mind providing a source for that? Also, like tennis2 said above, if I only overclock the CPU it should only add about 15-20W, so I don't think it will stress my PSU out too much.
