Yes Acronis doesn't care but Windows 7 built-in backup tool does; it doesn't see the VeraCrypt drive at all. I wanted to use that to make incremental backups of just the folders I want. With Acronis I have to do backups of entire partitions.
(Too lazy to look for other backup software.)
Hi,
I'm using Windows 7 with several encrypted HDDs and an SSD, and an external 5TB USB3 drive, now also encrypted with VeraCrypt.
Before I encrypted the external drive, I was using Windows 7 built-in backup to backup to the drive.
Now that the external drive is encrypted, W7 no longer allows...
The temp difference may be just caused by your installation, e.g. the amount of thermal paste (or its quality if it wasn't the same).
I wouldn't recommend overclocking such an old cpu; it probably won't be stable. But if you have to, try both and use the more stable one. Why do you need 2...
I second (or third or tenth) the notion about bad capacitor. The mobo is exactly from that era.
Check if they are not inflated. The tops should be completely flat or even concave. If some caps have failed, the computer may boot partially but then behave erratically.
You can get solder on new...
3G keypad phones exist, there's a few of them on sites such Gearbest but I don't know how good they are.
The problem with many 'modern' feature phones is that they are very limited when it comes to phonebook and/or customizability. Usually limited to 100 to 200 phone numbers with just 1 or 2...
I need to be able to control the playback so it's synced between me and the other viewer. Plus some videos (or parts of them) may be copyrighted and thus those video sites wouldn't accept them.
Does the other party hear a busy tone, a ringing tone or a message that you're on call?
Try dialing this code and see what it says:
*#43#
If it says disabled/unavailable, dial this to enable it:

A few years ago I got to compare a couple headphones and I find the overall best to be the Shure brand. I personally got the SRH 940.
The headbands tend to be quite fragile, sadly...
Those retro-styled square headphones (I forgot the brand name but you'd recognize them) were pretty good too...
It depends on what kind of an update it is.
a) Some BIOS updaters run directly under Windows as a program;
b) others run, reboot into some sort of a special recovery mode and update the BIOS from there, then reboot back into Wndows
c) yet others allow you to create a USB drive from which you...
If you don't need sound, there's no reason to use HDMI as basically DVI = HDMI (without sound) + VGA. The digital video part is exactly the same protocol. That's why DVI>HDMI adapters are just simple rewirings.
The mobile broadband I'll be getting actually just has 300 gigs FUP so that would be enough. But it's probably true I'd be just as stuck when it comes to running the server and opening ports.
I messaged my VPN provider whether it's possible to have a server running on my PC. Frankly I'm not...
The public IP isn't much of an issue I think, no-ip.com can take care of that. Failing that I can always just hand out my current IP when streaming (it doesn't necessarily need to be static). Whether it would be possible on mobile at all I have no clue tho.
Good point about the VPN. I actually...
And you said you tried BOTH another motherboard and a power supply? I mean that's pretty odd, it's either the board or PSU.
How did you even find that it works like this?
Did you make sure to connect all the other power connectors? For the CPU, VGA and such. Did you try without the dedicated...
Hey there,
Occasionally I need to run a 'server' on my PC for some video streaming using VLC.
Normally I'd do that by forwarding ports on the router to my PC, combined with no-ip.com for a domain name.
At this time I don't have that option tho as I moved to a new place and the router is not...
