    Question Mobo compatibility with win10

Modified BIOS to match my previous system settings. On first attempt, it ran!!! I was mistaken, it has Win 11 and not 10. I'm expecting a BSOD anytime, but so far so good!

Question Power supply compatibility with new motherboard

I had connected it to Mains directly skipping the UPS and completely forgot about it. Looks like spikes killed it and the mobo too.

Thank you for the suggestion. I guess I will have to refrain from using it. Do you have any suggestions what to get? This is where I get my products from. My preferred budget is 7000. https://www.pcstudio.in/product-category/power-supply/ How about this one...

Question Power supply compatibility with new motherboard

Thank you for the quick reply. I am using internal graphics. No GPU. May not get one in the future either. I have another PSU which is under repair and should be back in 1-2 weeks . https://www.coolermaster.com/en-global/products/mwe-gold-650-v2-full-modular/ While I'm waiting for the PSU to...

    Question Mobo compatibility with win10

I have a new mobo - MSI Z790 A-MAX WiFi. Specs mention support for Win 11. Can i install win 10 on this? The m2 ssd from the old mobo which died had Win10 installed. I need to log in to save browser tabs data and check other data, before format+reinstall OS. So before format it can I use the m2...

Question Power supply compatibility with new motherboard

I have a new mobo - MSI Z790 A-MAX WiFi. I have an existing power supply - Cooler master RS600 PCAR E3 (ATX 12V v2.3). Is the PSU compatible with the mobo. PSU is older than 7 years, probably much older. Can I use this PSU or should I use a different one? The mobo is having 8+8 pins for cpu...

Question Any reason why i should not get the MSI PRO Z790 A-MAX WiFi

I am planning to get a MSI PRO Z790 A-MAX WiFi and considering to pair it with i5 12600k. For RAM, a Kit of Corsair Vengeance DDR 5 16GB 6000MHz. I need the extra SATA ports, SPDIF, plus some others, hence leaning towards Z790. I tend to keep my system for more than 7 years. So i prefer to get...

Question Which motherboard from among these?

I am not too worried about CPU temps. The mentioned cooler is not available back here. |cooler-type[air-cooler]']Here is what is available to me. Looking at either the Cooler Master Hyper 212 or 620S, very reasonably priced. Is there any reason why i should not be buying either?

Question Which motherboard from among these?

Thank you for the info. I will certainly need the SPDIF out, and faster USB ports. Other features, not sure. Any recommendations for a cooler to go with the CPU? I think I should be good with an air cooler.

Question Which motherboard from among these?

Looking for suggestions for a mobo + CPU combo, which is both durable and future proof. Leaning towards either 13600k or 14600k (14600k is surprisingly slightly cheaper where I live. I presume 14600k is recommended considering similar pricing?) As for the mobo, I am leaning towards the Z series...

    Question Stable motherboard for a 12600K ?

I will check out the price differences between DDR4 & 5 and then decide. If it is nominal then i might get the DDR5 one (Last i checked i was getting the 16GB 5200MHz DDR 5 Vengeance kit, at a very reasonable price). I tend to use my PC's longer than 6 years. Last one conked out in 2 years, and...

I had not come across the W680 chipset before. I will read up on it. I guess no overclocking as it is not Z series.
