I already reset CMOS using the jumper, and yes the RAM is pushed all the way in. Reseated it plenty of times

[SOLVED] Ryzen 3rd gen first post time. Please Help.

Since the motherboard comes with ryzen 3000 ready bios out of the box, will it still require an update to work? I did not try to flash the bios without the CPU. I will try it then. Thanks :)

[SOLVED] Ryzen 3rd gen first post time. Please Help.

Tried that too. The only thing I didn't try is a new set of ram with my ryzen build(even though my present set works perfectly with Intel) . Or it might be a faulty memory controller in the CPU.

[SOLVED] Ryzen 3rd gen first post time. Please Help.

Sadly I cannot even get into the bios. The cpu led flashes for a second after power on and then the dram led comes on and stays solid. I've kept it in this state for 5 mins before cutting off power.

[SOLVED] Ryzen 3rd gen first post time. Please Help.

Checked the CPU and the pins are all fine. Also the memory is locked tight. I even built outside the case to rule out a Mobo short. Tried on a different known working mobo and psu, and tested the ram on a different intel system where it works. Hence I'm at a loss now.

[SOLVED] Ryzen 3rd gen first post time. Please Help.

So I just got a Ryzen 5 3600 on a MSI B450 gaming pro carbon max wifi(compatible with ryzen 3rd gen out of the box) and 16 GB of 8x2 Corsair vengence LPX 3000mhz. On the first boot I got stuck with the dram led lighting up solid on the motherboard. I let it stay for a maximum of 5 minutes...

Question New Ryzen 5 3600 dead or am I missing something?

I checked the power cables too they're fine. Also the motherboard and all the led fans and the aio seems to be receiving power normally (fans spin up and the AIO lights up).

Question New Ryzen 5 3600 dead or am I missing something?

Checked the CPU under a magnifying glass. No bent pins. I guess I'll try and test out a different PSU first thing tomorrow. Can a bad PSU post this kind of a problem though?

Question New Ryzen 5 3600 dead or am I missing something?

I tried booting with the single sticks in all four slots but they do not work. The RAMs however work in another system. And most probably it's not the Mobo because this is the 3rd motherboard I tried that gave me the same problem. I am going to RMA the cpu but is it worth checking it on a...

Question New Ryzen 5 3600 dead or am I missing something?

@drea.drechsler was right most probably. Probably seemed like a bad bios flash. The 1600 worked on the new board but I had to try thrice before it posted(before that it just gave me a debug cpu led and left it there). But the 3600 just refuses to work even on the new board. The old board I've...

Question New Ryzen 5 3600 dead or am I missing something?

I did. But sadly the motherboard doesn't get past the dram issue. So can't boot into bios. Keyboard isn't even detected.

Question New Ryzen 5 3600 dead or am I missing something?

Hey thanks for the reply :) Yes I double checked all the connections. Cpu 8 pin, Mobo 24 pin and pci-e 6+8 pin. I tried the 3600 on another AM4 system and this time one that was ryzen 3rd gen ready out of the box. Got the same Dram error. So Mobo is ruled out I guess. Now I'm stuck between...

Question New Ryzen 5 3600 dead or am I missing something?

Hello This is going to be a super long post so please bear with me. Recently I upgraded from a Ryzen 5 1600 to a Ryzen 5 3600 as my motherboard was the MSI B450 gaming plus, I upgraded the bios before swapping out the 1600 for the 3600. On first try the system refused to boot in dual channel so...

Question Motherboard USB 3.0 ports not working after CPU pins got bent.

Did that. Also tried flashing bios through bios flashback method. Weirdest thing is, now even my old working CPU won't post. Tried booting up with one stick of ram, both the sticks booted up normally but crashed once I reached windows.
