Question What size speakers will be adequate?

Paradigm moved out of Singapore. Their sound bars were the last of them. Here I can audition most others, MA, Dali, Focal, Bowers, Klipsch, Triangle, Tannoy and a few others. Klipsch are too sharp for my ears and I fatigued easily. Definitely getting an SVS sub. Are you using the PB or the SB?

Question What size speakers will be adequate?

I will timbre match the surrounds with the fronts and center. Read somewhere that too powerful a speaker for small space will affect imaging, and also read that some large speakers require a large room to shine. I got a little lost, not knowing how to work around. As suggested I shall audition...

Question What size speakers will be adequate?

I live in an apartment and have a living room space of 3.2m(10.5ft) length and 4.4m(14.5ft) wide. The entire living room is 3.2m length by 7.1m width but tv area is 3.2m by 4.4m. I’m contemplating (in order of preference) between Dali, Focal, Monitor Audio and Klipsch. For the given space, the...

[SOLVED] What wattage av receiver to choose?

’At 11’ u mean like from -80db, cranking it up all the way to +11? I get ur point that too loud could fry the speakers. I was guessing this would be the case coz most of the 9 channel receivers had plenty of power. Couldn’t find something below 100 watts. Thank you for the clarity.

Question Why green and white pixels showing up only during movement and only on Chromecast? My other sources don’t show these.

I tried changing the source. The problem stays. However, I realised that when I play YouTube videos, the entire screen has a thin grainy red green blue layer over the video that’s playing. And the subtitles are on top of this layer, completely clear of any distortion. Additionally, after the...

Question Why green and white pixels showing up only during movement and only on Chromecast? My other sources don’t show these.

The Chromecast comes with an attached hdmi cable. One end goes to the av receiver hdmi port. The other end goes directly into the Chromecast circuit board. So there’s no way I can change the hdmi cable. As for the hdmi cable that goes from the av receiver to the tv, the other sources are working...

Question Why green and white pixels showing up only during movement and only on Chromecast? My other sources don’t show these.

There are white pixel dotted lines and green pixels showing up everytime there is some movement on screen. It only happens when I set the source on my av receiver to Chromecast. Everytime I use the remote to navigate through the menus and titles, there is movement and the dotted lines and green...

    Question USB selector button confused

Hi! I have an Onkyo TX-SR353 AV receiver. Recently, the USB selector button on the receiver has started to react differently. When I press the USB button, it selects FM radio. And if I continue pressing, it switches between AM and FM modes or tunes through the frequencies. Any idea how I can fix...
