    problem in reinstallation of windows due to damage in hard disc

    when i try to re install my windows 7 in my sony laptop, it shows your hard disc may be damaged or not present. what can be the reasons? sony care center say that your hard disc is fully damaged and asking for 15000 rs to fix it. what to do?
