News Nvidia's RTX 5090 power cables may be doomed to burn

I don't get the new connectors anyway, you end up with a y splitter to plug in multiple rails. I would rather just plug them both into the card directly if that's what it takes, the tiny pins can't physically handle that much electrical draw at 12v. 600W/12V=50A Ampacity charts will say 50A...

News RTX 5080 power cable allegedly melts at PSU — Redditor reports another 50-series failure

I wonder how many of these folks have tested their home power to make sure they have a strong ground at their receptacles? Mine had been painted and wasn't making much contact, which meant REALLY hot PC power cables!

Need help to select the best setup components for my network while containing the cost

Seems like a lot of equipment just to get a fast connection to a NAS. I'd say your best bet is a cheap gigabit switch to attach to one of the ethernet ports off of the router/modem and connect your laptop to that when you want to access the storage. Get yourself the Adonics USB 3.0 NAS bridge...

That's an odd address for the DNS server. Try a couple things: ipconfig /flushdns ipconfig /release ipconfig /renew Then, if the issues continue try to set them back to static DNS using Google's public DNS: 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 also, make sure there are no VPN setting configured in internet...

One pc causing comcast modem reboot

So this is a weird issue. My Comcast XB3 Xfinity router will intermittently reboot every 20 minutes or so, but only when my bedroom PC is connected to it. Whether there are 10 devices or just one, it's only this PC that causes this. I've turned it off and tried downloading a game and playing a...
