[SOLVED] Is there a (safe) way to run a Vega56 from an Antec TruePower 550W (regarding power supply cables)?

I have a system that I bought a Sapphire Vega 56 for. The card has two 8-pin power connectors, and I realized too late that the power supply (Antec TruePower 550w) only has a 6+2- and a 6-pin connector. Is there any way to still use the power supply to power the graphics card? Are Molex to...

    Question Should I buy a GTX 1070 or a Vega 56?

I have a Corsair SF450 (80+ Gold certified). I have been running an RX580 so far and I haven't had any noticeable issues.

    Question Should I buy a GTX 1070 or a Vega 56?

Thank you for your answer (and the correction :D not a native speaker)! How urgent would it be to get a bigger power supply/what should I expect if I don't? I will most likely buy a Vega 56, and if the cooler is too loud/causes power issues return it in the appropriate time window to buy a 1070.

    Question Should I buy a GTX 1070 or a Vega 56?

RMA'ing my old card. I could get a GTX 1070 for 278€ (311 USD) (and up) and a Vega 56 for 298€ (334 USD) and up. I however only have blower style Vega 56 cards available in my price range. I value linux drivers somehow, but I heard that there are some for the 1070, so I hope that shouldn't be...

ASRock Fatal1ty B350 itx behaving weird (always high mobo temperature, fan speed)

I recently purchased an ASRock Fatal1ty B350 motherboard. Because I built in a very small itx case, I'm constantly keeping an eye on my thermals for now. I noticed that the SYSTIN temperature as shown in HWMonitor was always 114°C-120°C (237°F-248°F) This temperature rarely ever changes. Is this...

Can I use a USB monitor as primary (and only) monitor?

I am in the process of building a LAN party itx pc. However, I also need a portable monitor. Since I don't want to DIY one or spend 300$+ for one with hdmi/vga in, I would choose an external monitor that gets its signal over USB. But does that work as primary monitor? I don't care if I don't...

Which RX480 (8gb) is better: The XFX RS or the Sapphire Nitro+ model?

I'm opting for a mini ITX build in the silverstone sugo sg13. The XFX GTR model is too big, that's why XFX RS is the only option besides the Sapphire one. I heard that both the Gigabyte and the reference card perform worse, so they're out. All other cards are too big (maximum...

    Help a brother out

Gee, imma go with a standard answer here Try uninstalling all video card drivers (use a tool like display driver uninstaller aka DDU) Restart your computer Install all drivers Restart again I saw the 1070 perform about 60 fps at very high settings, but at 1440p. So I would assume you're not...

    (Best) RX480 smaller than 210mm/8.3inch

I'm planning to build in a Coolermaster Elite 110 because I want a portable build for lanparties. The maximum length for a video card to fit in there is 210mm/8.3inch. Does anyone know a (if possible not terrible) RX480 (8gb) that would fit? Or should I rather go for the GTX1060 mini...

I offered to create a budget console killer system for a friend, what do you guys think?

I didn't want him to buy a ps4. He mainly wants to play GTA 5 on it and doesn't bother about USB2. He already has peripherals and a monitor as well. CPU: AMD Athlon X4 845 3.5GHz Quad-Core (67$) MoBo: ASRock FM2A68M-DG3+ (45$) RAM: Kingston HyperX Fury Black 8GB (1 stick for expandability)...

Can I launch my PC with only 3 of the 4 motherboard backplate attachment screws to my water block screwed in?

Question as above, fast help required. I used to run an Intel box cooler with 3 pins on the cpu but only noticed that the ones were broken when I cleaned it (i7 860 non k). 3 screws are attached to the cross for the waterblock on the backside but I accidentally broke the fourth when screwing in.
