Thanks I will defo keep that in mind. Could the problem be the GPU itself? Unfortunately I don't have any other card to try the cable on, this is my first ever pc built and my mind is completely boggled and dont seem to find many resources on this.

Thank you. I used the cable that came with my msi PSU but it shouldn't be this hard surely, just not normal. Will probably buy a new cable cause the cable that came with the GPU is too short. Hopefully I haven't damaged the GPU itself with all the force I used.

I’m wondering what you did to push the connector in properly? I tried for 4 hrs, it’s hard to push in and pull out. I cant find any videos or anyone else who has had this problem until I found your comment. My fingers are so sore and I have no idea where I’m going wrong with this cable!!!
