I think so yes. I have just one cord that is a daisy chain of 2 8 pins from the psu and of course the pcie slot itself.
I have tried plugging in the gpu this way already bit it doesn't seem to be powering on. The fans won't work and no monitors are detected when displayport cords are plugged into it
I think i got the 2x8 wrong I'm not sure what to call it. It's 1 cord with 2 8 pin connectors attached into the 3 headed female adapter nvidia game me.
That will work even though it's one cord?
And what about the third female head to the nvidia adapter, is it ok to have it empty?
So it has started booting, I guess it just needed to sit idle for about 20 to 30 min.
I do have one more question if it isnt a bother.
My psu only came with a daisy chained 8 pin connector and not another one. Would it be fine to connect that 2x8 daisy chain to the 16pin adapter for the 4080...
Do you think it could be that my ram is not suitable or the bios needs to be updated for it to be.
I know that this ram is not on the QVL for this motherboard but the 5600 mt/s version of it is.
Everything but my boot drive, case, and power supply was upgraded. So it practically a new pc.
I did start with A2, and it has been on for about 5 minutes.
Sorry, I'm new to this. I got the pc as a prebuilt and have finally got up to date parts.
I just upgraded my system and I'm having troubles with it posting. The Dram light is red and it won't post. I'm wondering if I just need to update the bios or if the ram is straight up not compatible.
My specs:
Ryzen 9 9900x
Crucial pro 48gb 6000 mt/s cl 48 ddr5
