I'm certainly no expert, but of the two nighthawks I've owned, neither had a coax connection. The coax usually only goes to a modem so I'm assuming you picked up a modem/router combo and ..well.... I suppose beyond that you'll have to contact your ISP to see what kind of connection you should be...
