Replacement of amd fx 6300 stock fan

This fan should run way quieter than your AMD stock HSF and should run slightly cooler. It's by Deepcool, a manufacturer that I personally trust, and for 599 INR (just under 7 quid here), that should do the trick just fine...

Switched out my motherboard; came with a few surprises

Indeed it is rare. A friend of mine has an R9 390 which tended to reach 90 degrees till it began to throttle. He had to put on a G10 bracket with an H60 AIO to keep it below 70 degrees!

Switched out my motherboard; came with a few surprises

I previously had a Pentium G3258 at 4.2GHz paired with an MSI B85M-P32 motherboard. Everything was all good and stable too (at 1.28V). Also, I had an R9 380 Gaming 4G which was quite a hot card. After switching out the motherboard for an ASUS H81M-PLUS, I can get the same Pentium chip to 4.8GHz...

    RX 480 bottleneck

Will my overclocked Pentium G3258 bottleneck an RX 480? If so, which GPU would be best suited for the CPU, as I will not be upgrading anytime soon? Thanks.

No display from newly built computer!

Same question as above. Most likely the motherboard's onboard graphics chipset is at fault.

    RX 480 with G3258??

I have a secondary system with a Pentium G3258 in it, initially paired with an R9 380. The 380 became defective after just under a year and Amazon agreed on giving me a refund instead of a replacement. Should I wait for an AMD RX 480 to put in this system and use as a Steam box for my living...

Building a good gaming pc for around £400 (read on for further details)

Case fan placement can get a bit complicated. The simplest arrangement is to try and get a neutral pressure in your case, by having equal intake and exhausts. 1 in the front and 1 in the back is fine for less power-hungry builds. Your friend must've been talking about PWM fans, which use 4 pins...

Budget card for Intel i5 4590?

Yeah, you should use your 5770 (still an 'OK' card) until you have saved up to get a GTX 1070 or R9 490, when they are soon released. Most likely May-June 2016. Or a GTX 970 when the price begins to fall rapidly.

    Best processor for under £100

Yeah, you should be good to go. That's a solid choice; I use that exact motherboard in my HTPC (with a Pentium instead of an i5 CPU).

    Best processor for under £100

For gaming, video editing and rendering, go for the 4460 (that's a very good deal your friend is offering!). The CPU offers better single-threaded performance, more instruction per clock and subsequently better performance. Ask your friend if it will come with a heatsink (the stock heatsink is...

    Anti surge protection

You should've taken the advice given by the PSU experts (or at least asked before purchasing it)
