    My CPU and GPU usage is all over the place when I game. Performance is consequently taking a hit, with constant stuttering. I'm observing a fairly good framerate, but it always tanks suddenly and quite often. GTA V, for instance, ran on my old GTS 450 at 1400x1050 without any stuttering issues...

    Anything near 80 isn't a good number to be looking at. There is never a hard-and-fast number to be staying below, but make sure you aren't in the 80's. Obviously, any extra fans are a great option, but if, like me, you have a cabinet that can only support one fan, there's something I do often...

    Never get it above 85 if you want your card to last longer. Research for all sorts of ways to bring it down if you're seeing these numbers.
