    Yes. It's called "Cool-n-Quiet". A setting in the BOIS. When your computer is at an idle, the processor will drop it's Multiplier and Voltage down to save power. When the processor is being used it will jump back up. Hope that helps! Google Cool-n-Quiet for more info.

    You don't need to do much. Just insert Windows7 disk. In the set up just pick the HDD that don't have Vista installed. Once Windows7 is installed and reboots, you have the choice of which OS to boot. I did the same thing for my computer.

    It connects to the USB port on the motherboard. Some card readers also have 1394 (mini Firewire port). Then there would be 2 lines coming off the reader. One for USB and one for 1394. I have one that has both.
