for gaming it would mostly be emulation gaming. Project64, Dolphin, PCSX2, RPCS3.. Assuming laptops should run emulation with no problem... But other than the emulation gaming, it'll just be used for regular online activities. online video chatting, YouTube, emails, etc...

I'd say upgrade the PSU and video card... my GTX 1080 is still running strong, and they're not too pricey.. I play games at 1440p though
