Question Is my GPU dead on arrival?

I pushed on each connection as hard as I realistically could at least 3 times so I hope it'll be okay. I know about the dangers of 12VHPWR so I was extra cautious

Question Is my GPU dead on arrival?

I'm not sure how to mention/@ you guys on here, so I just replied to these comments because I wanted to let you guys know that I figured out the issue. It was a problem with Corsair's 12V-2x6 cable. I'm not sure why, but it simply just was not working. I decided to try out the adapter that came...

Question Is my GPU dead on arrival?

The PSU comes with a dedicated 12V-2x6 cable (Corsairs replacement for the 12VHPWR) that I've been using, it's not an adapter. I was just thinking about using the adapter that came with the GPU instead just to see if that would help This is the 12V-2x6 cable...

Question Is my GPU dead on arrival?

Secure Boot was disabled when I was trying the 4080 Super, I didn't enable it until I was able to POST with the 6600xt and install Windows 11. Unfortunately my case doesn't have room for me to put the GPU into the second PCIE x16 slot

Question Is my GPU dead on arrival?

I just upgraded from a 6600xt to a Zotac 4080 Super Amp and spent 6 hours yesterday installing the card, the new PSU, and some new RAM. The part swap was easy but I spent the majority of the time trying to get it to POST. The final thing I tried was to just switch my GPU back to the 6600xt and...

Question GPU throttling after cleaning dust out?

GPU is an OEM version of the RX 580 4GB from an HP Omen 880-020, the GPU is about 3 and half years old. Earlier today I decided to clean dust out of my PC. Pretty much the only thing I did was clean the dust filters, clean the fans a tad bit, and dust out the GPU. The GPU wasn't that dusty...

[SOLVED] Is it possible for a small rubber grommet to be sucked into a PSU fan?

Random question, but do you guys think it's possible for a small rubber grommet to be sucked into a PSU fan, or am I just being overly paranoid? When I was building my PC back in January I lost one of the rubber grommets that sit on the screw for the HDD cage, and I'm still not entirely sure...

[SOLVED] Case fan cable is slightly touching top of GPU, is this okay?

Thank you! This definitely puts my mind at ease, especially with you having a similar thing with your tubes. I really appreciate you telling me about the outer GPU temp. I kept seeing posts about how the melting point of the cable is most likely around 80C and that the only concern was the...

[SOLVED] Case fan cable is slightly touching top of GPU, is this okay?

Thank you! So I shouldn't worry about it? Out of curiosity if you happen to know this, my GPU runs between 80-85C under full load, what do you think the temperature by the fan cable would be?

[SOLVED] Case fan cable is slightly touching top of GPU, is this okay?

Hello! So I have to worry about every small thing my brain can think of with my PC, and this time it's about a case fan cable that is slightly touching the top of the GPU. Image: View: https://imgur.com/a/39VPK6U - the angle is a bit wonky, but when looking at it from the side the only part of...

[SOLVED] 24-pin mobo power connector is very thick and causes a gap in the side panel, is this okay?

So a couple months ago I swapped my PSU out for a Corsair CX550M. My case is a Lian Li 205m. Something I noticed when doing the cable management, is that the 24-pin mobo power cable is very thick and it led to me having problems closing the side panel. Eventually I just forced the panel to slide...

[SOLVED] I have been having POST issues since building my PC and just now had back-to-back crashes, is my PSU failing?

Yeah I did a fresh install of the OS when I built it. Do you think an OS reinstall might work?
