I have cleared the CMOS many times. Here's everything else I've tried:
Changing Ram Slots
Removing GPU
Removing SSD (so just boot to BIOS without windows).
Enabling Memory Restore in the BIOS
Somes I will change nothing and it will boot. Othertimes I will change something and it will boot...

I'm looking for upgrade suggestions. I bought the Acer Nitro XV273K 4k 120hz in 2019 for $700. I am struggling to find a worthwhile upgrade that would cost me less than $800. I'm willing to compromise on 4k down to 1440p if the overall experience is worth while. I could spend up to $600-$800...
Hello,
I've been running my i9-9900k with 3000hmz 16gb DDR4 since I purchased it. With DDR4 prices falling, I'd like to do one final DDR4 upgrade.
95% of the time this is for gaming, so I'm looking for 32gb (unless someone can convince me 64gb would be a benefit).
I am not looking for the...
Hey all,
I'm looking to upgrade my Acer xb270hu, which I've had for about 3 years at this point. It's served me well, but I'm looking for an upgrade, primarily for gaming.
Specs:
RTX 2080 ti
i9-9900k @4.8ghz OC
2x8gb 4000mhz
500gb 960 EVO
1TB 860 EVO
Increasingly, I find myself using DSR to...
They should be selling the old 460 as the 550, for $80, and then sold this gpu as the 540 for $50-$60.
Its hard to buy a card that you know can't keep up with the consoles. What happens when a big game comes out and you don't have the horse power to actually play it? The 460 and 560 can keep...
Just found a good example of the xeons I am looking at:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Intel-Xeon-E3-1245-SR00L-3-3GHz-Socket-LGA-1155-CPU-Processor-km-/311802659733?_trksid=p2141725.m3641.l6368
Its a 4c/8t @3.3 ghz for $110. If its compatible, that would be a pretty sweet upgrade...
Hello to all on the forums,
I got an old Dell Inspiron 620 lying around that I used way back when as a budget gaming PC that I am trying to find a use for.
Specs:
i3 2120 @ 3.3ghz
2x2gb 1333 ddr3
h61 (i think) Dell Mobo
400w PSU (no extra connectors)
1 TB HDD
Windows 7
I have another PC with...
Very interesting stuff, (and a very mediocre presentation). IPC seems almost identical to broadwell. That old figure AMD threw out of 2% faster than broadwell seems pretty damn accurate. Their messaging has been consistent of matching intel, and I believe them. The surprising thing is the...
I have a friend who plays on a full hd monitor with a playstation 4. He pretty dedicated to console gaming, and is considering getting either a ps4 pro or xbox scoprio when they are released. Even though these consoles do not output native 4k often, its hard to dispute that the experience is...
In my mind, this and other storage class memory solutions are the most exciting stuff in tech today because they have the potential to actually change the way computing is handled. Its going to be a long road to get there. though.
If in ten years I can build a new PC that has a single solution...
I do not like this categorization system. It would be better to just start at the bottom with the cheapest graphics card worth buying, and then listing the cards that are worth considering above that one. You can also list special use cases as honable mentions.
My list:
Gtx 750 ti at $100
Rx...
I'm with grimfox, I have always thought that seated VR will be just fine after a while, even if you have first person motion and walking around. We just need to get used to it and improve image quality, latency, field of view, and frame rates. 5 years from now I wouldn't be surprised if you...
