I can grab some audio of it sure, but i dont think the cpu is overheating because try he rig is turning on and stays on if ram is installed. Only when no ram is installed does it start and stop.

I solved the issue by using a 2.5MM line splitter and then routting a 2.5MM Male to Male cable to the mic port. Works fine.

Windows Task Manager only sees 4 threads rather then 8 threads. CPU-Z reports 2 Cores 4 threads. Got a MSI GD64 Mobo with the latest bios. Hyper Threading is enabled in the bios. Any ideas?
