I also noted that the one tool that seems to take president over anything else controlling my CPU power state is the Gigabyte Smart manager software. Without this software (And the HW driver hidden in Gigabyte FlexiKey) I cannot control CPU and GPU fans or read temps... How buggered am I haha??

Just updated my Intel GPU drivers as they were over a year old. No difference has been made. Reading Nvidia forums it seems to be related back to the intel gpu and nvidia one talking to each other.

Unsure as I am in New Zealand and my knowledge is limited to our Fibre and copper network but you do need PPPOE to authenticate and use the connection. The PPPOE provides DNS etc so yes, it needs to work. These Fibre/Cable connects are set and go, if there is an issue it will be with the provider.

You can contact them to do basic troubleshooting of the service. This doesn't need account authority. Clearly you can't make billing changes or have info disclosed.
