it was mounted correctly the first time (hence why i removed to check if it was mounted correctly), i did all the tests before removing the cooler because i knew i'd have to reapply thermal paste. Yeah i updated the firmware firstly to see if that was the issue but it wasn't. Ok thanks i will get in contact with corsair to see if they can help with this issue.

Hi H4X3R, Yeah I'm using corsair link and i've thrown everything to 100%, it's not the fan issue. No hot air at all is coming out of the fans even when stress testing and the cpu gets to 80c. both water pumps vibrate but do not get hot like others with the h100i do.
