GPU Upgrade to a 760 or 770? Or wait.

AMD GPUs have better overclocking potential, but the fans can get loud at times Nvidia GPUs are less cpu dependent, so cpus limit Nvidia gpus less Both however are pretty good graphics and both have games designed to work better on eachother

The 770 is for 1080p gaming. If you really want 3 monitors, you should go the AMD route when prices normalize because of their bigger bus at the price range.

Upgrading cpu on hp pavilion g4-1215dx

Thanks for confirming that it is compatible, but do you have any info on the hp whitelist? From what Ive heard the bios will only boot with certain cpus. Is there a way of checking which cpu's are on that list?

Maxwell will have wider memory bandwidth to go along with that ram because of the new feature which will allow the cpu to access the gpu's ram. Also maxwell's tegra cpu will handle physX so physX won't slow down games anymore.

The cpu I currently have is an a4-3300M (ikr) and it uses 52.8W while the a8-3510mx would use around 36.6W. There are couple things I have questions about though. 1. Would...
