    Now that you mention it I have been having issues with folders opening very slowly on the SSD for a few months now. SSD is probably 4 years old.

    After doing a little more research I am thinking that when i flashed my BIOS (when i was setting up this install) I did so incorrectly and did not properly update to uefi. Guess I am going to have to flash again.
