High Efficiency PSU's worth the money?

So for my new upgrade, I'm moving up from a 500w Hexa+ PSU to a 750w PSU. Initially, I was going to buy the Corsair RM750x, but noticed that I could buy the Thermaltake Smart Pro RGB 750w (I'm a sucker for RGB) for $40 AUD cheaper. The Corsair unit is 80+ Gold whereas the TT unit is 80+. Is the...

    i7 7700k high temps at 1.25 volts

i7 7700k's are known to run hot. Intel used bad TIM. Mine at stock 4.2Ghz gets to 89 degrees. Upgrading to an AIO may help, but I dont see overclocking in the equation. Intel also said these temps are 'normal' and 'dont overclock'. Bad decisions are being made at Intel sadly

GPU Upgrade; GTX 970 to 1080 or 1080ti

So I'm upgrading my GPU for very much a largely future proofing reason (and I want more frames to smash my games :P). Again in the future I'm planning on saving up for when a 120hz 4K monitor becomes slightly less expensive (If that ever happens), but for now I want to future proof myself. So...

When will M.2 SSDs get "sexy"

M.2 slots can be used for Intel Optane, which works similarly to RAM (same speeds), but doesnt lose its files when power is lost. Can help an HDD get SSD like boot speeds, other than that I dont really know

Using 2 drives like an SSHD

I dont think it works like that. Use the M.2 to put your OS on for almost instantaneous boot times and use the 2TB for a Steam Library. Shortcuts only work as they say they are, its tells the computer that you are trying to boot this executable by using saying 'where' it is, a shortcut. Another...

Steam games do not work with Windows 10

I had a similar issue. I replaced the same parts as you for similar upgraded parts. I kept all of my steam library on an external HDD so I didnt have to download the 300GB of games which would surely take at least a week of straight downloading 24/7 (Im not even joking my internet is shite). I...

Should i be worried about 4gb vram?

4GB is enough. Im running a GTX 970 with 4GB of VRAM which easily can manage 90+ frames on MOST games at medium to high settings (PUBG is a different story). No need to be worried, and with freesync, its better even then
