[SOLVED] Lights, Fans, No BIOS, No POST

This has been resolved. I was missing my 8pin and was able to handle all of my POST errors without too much trouble. Thanks for the help, everyone.

[SOLVED] Lights, Fans, No BIOS, No POST

Yeah, I put the eight pin in at the top and I got it up and running. I've got a white POST light, which I am working on resolving. Also, all of my 6-pins have two optional pins. It's an old PSU, but it was a really nice one at the time. lol

[SOLVED] Lights, Fans, No BIOS, No POST

It does. I didn't connect it, but I will certainly try it before I buy a new motherboard. I think it's a problem with my BIOS not being up to date, but I'll give it a shot.

[SOLVED] Lights, Fans, No BIOS, No POST

It's not a sticker, which is why I was so confused. Looks like I'll be sending this one back.

[SOLVED] Lights, Fans, No BIOS, No POST

It says right on the box, in nice bold print, that it's 3rd gen ready. Indeed, it doesn't mention the 1000 series, just the 2 and 3. Though it doesn't mention the 3rd gen anywhere on back on the actual spec, just 2nd Gen. I'm looking into it.

[SOLVED] Lights, Fans, No BIOS, No POST

Hi folks, So I just finished a new build. Here are the specs: ROG Strix B450-F AMD Ryzen 7 3800x MSI Ventus RTX 2070 Super Corsair Vengence LPX DDR4 2x16 Corsair TW750W I've tried everything I can reasonably think of/find and I haven't gotten any results. My lights and fans come on...

Low FPS After New Mobo Despite Best Efforts

I'm at work at present, so I'll post my full specs when I get home.

Low FPS After New Mobo Despite Best Efforts

So my Mobo fried and I had to replace it. Since this happened I've had FPS issues in every game that renders 3D models despite have a GTX 970. A clean install of Windows, disabling Shadow play, updating drivers; all of the "normal" solutions have had some small, sometimes fleeting success, but...

FPS Chugging Since Mobo Replacement and Clean Win10 Install

Seems to still have some issues. No power savings settings getting in the way, so I'm at a loss yet again. It's better than it was before, but I'm still having performance issues.

FPS Chugging Since Mobo Replacement and Clean Win10 Install

Dealt with Shadowplay, seems to have resolved the issue. Will do some more testing and report back.

FPS Chugging Since Mobo Replacement and Clean Win10 Install

I didn't replace any RAM, I just removed the oldest RAM. This cleared up a host of Blue Screen issues that I was getting with Twitch.tv and YouTube. With WoW running (it's honestly the only game I've played for three weeks) I'm at 50% RAM and 25% CPU, and there don't seem to be any heat issues...

FPS Chugging Since Mobo Replacement and Clean Win10 Install

So my Mobo fried a little while back. It's since been replaced and when I did I removed some old, faulty RAM. I did a clean install on Windows 10, but I am still having very noticeable FPS problems. This is across pretty much all games at this point, and it renders many unplayable. Updating...

Low FPS with a 970 after Replacing Mobo

Thanks. Are there any resources about doing a clean install of Windows when you took the free upgrade from 7 to 10?

Low FPS with a 970 after Replacing Mobo

I ran a PhysX CPU benchmark that had very low FPS and then killed both of my displays. The PC was still running but both of my monitors blacked out and went to low-power mode, forcing me to restart the PC. This makes me think that when the Mobo dies it also may have damaged the CPU as well...

Low FPS with a 970 after Replacing Mobo

Gigabyte Z97X - Gaming 3 i5-4690 3.5GHz Quad 8G of RAM EVGA GTX 970 8G I'm not sure how the Mobo fried as I haven't gotten anything about my RMA back yet. And I updated my drivers using the NVIDIA software that checks for updates and applies them.
