Been using a cheap 2$ mouse that works fine, and a new gaming one is on the way. Needed a replacement but just a mystery why only this mouse doesn't work on only this laptop.

I tried, but it doesn't let me install the driver, saying 'gaming mouse not detected'. I've ordered a new mouse but damn this is frustrating.

How do I check if it interacts with my touchpad driver? By drivers I meant the default ones Windows uses when you first plug it in. I uninstall the drivers in device manager and plug the mouse back in but that doesn't fix it. Are there specific mouse drivers I might have to install?
