OK I have it sorted now. I opened device manager> view hidden devices> I then uninstalled the hidden driver for the Grabber. I also ran certmgr.msc and removed the cert. After that i rebooted and installed the driver BEFORE I plugged in the grabber. Boom! Thanks Lutfij.

Hi williamjeremiah. I'm back. Ok while k-lite KIND of worked it's not exactly what i was looking for. Essentially what i need is for the thumbnail to show the opening shot of the video file. K-lite just shows random images. I need it for reference purposes.

Ok i figured it out. I downloaded the k-lite codec pack.

I've tried adjusting the view settings and I even downloaded the media feature pack. It used to show the icons until i did a clean windows install. I delete the iconcache.db file and rebooting. No joy!

Hello. I have a MINOR issue, maybe someone knows how to fix it. I have video clips that i have associated with VLC. When i look at the folder containing the clips i see the VLC icon. Is there a way to change it so the icons display an image of the video on the icon? Thanks.

Thanks JayGau. while on the subject of drivers is it possible to revoke permissions to "Always trust this provider" When i installed the driver the first time it gave me the option of always trusting the source. Can i undo that?

Hi! I'm having a bit of trouble installing a usb device. Windows insists on installing it's own driver. Is there any way of disabling this feature? I want to be prompted to install my own driver.
