    IDE on SATA

The "IDE" configuration, also known as "Legacy" in newer BIOSs, is the precursor to AHCI. RAID is specifically for multiple drives. It can run a single drive, but there is no performance gain on a single drive in RAID vs IDE. At least, not that I am aware of. The throughput should never reach...

Wi-Fi not found on windows 10

As an a addendum to viveknayyar007's solution; If it is a laptop, look for a WiFi switch on the side of the laptop. Some models use them, some have a "Fn" key combination to toggle the WiFi on/off. Hopefully it is something so easy.

Are there any good free antiviruses that don't bombard you with pop ups?

Windows Defender comes with Windows 10 (Microsoft Security Essentials on Windows 7). It's free, updates with Windows updates, and completely ad-free. No annoying reminders to buy the "pro version", because that just isn't a thing. Honestly though, the best anti-virus is common sense, and a...

Should I Buy a ssd or black hdd for my computer.

I agree with the others above. A 10000rpm drive is your best bet for a traditional spinning platter HDD. Make sure you get a 6 Gbps SATA connection as well (SATA III). Blacks are traditionally Western Digital's "Server"/"NAS" drives. Meant for high speed throughput.

Is Windows 7 Corrupted Or Is My HDD Failing?

Before you get carried away reinstalling, check BIOS settings on the new computer. I run into this a lot. Under the hard drive settings, see if you have options for AHCI, Legacy, RAID, etc. Try switching the setting and rebooting. I use AHCI when available, but if the computer is set to a...

Swapping HD between Systems with two dentical Mobos

Yes you can, you may lose your Windows license though. Typically, although there is some debate about this, the Windows license is tied to the serial numbers of the MoBo, CPU, and HDD/SSD. Change one, usually OK. Change more than one, expect license issues. Apart from that, you may need some...

Unable to reinstall Windows 10 after format

If you just want to format the drive, you can run Parted Magic from a Hiren's USB. It has saved me from this exact problem many of times. https://www.hiren.info/pages/bootcd

Multiple BSODs that only started recently

Looks like an old OS build. Current is in the 17xxx. I would go into safe mode with networking, from an elevated command prompt run "sfc /scannow" and "DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth" if SFC fails. While there, you can also run a "chkdsk /x" to check the hard drive for errors. You will...

    Administrator account logged on

OK. I think I am beginning to see the scope of the problem. And of course, Microsoft is not being helpful. The official Microsoft answer is as follows: "Kindly try to start your computer in Safe mode from the Windows Recovery Environment. Please refer to the below link to start the computer in...

Computer freezes, sound starts looping, both my screen freeze and become a horizontal line pattern.

You can stress test your GPU with Furmark. It will show you temps as it tests. Also, HWinfo and GPUid are good free tools to help identify/diagnose problems. It sounds to me like you could have a bad GPU though. Do you have onboard video? if so try that as a test with the GPU removed. you also...

    Administrator account logged on

Once you have another account created, there must always be an administrator account (not necessarily THE account named administrator), you can disable unwanted accounts from the Computer Management console > Users. Also, when you log out (not shutdown) you should see a list of created accounts...
