is your CPU the 965 black edition? if so check the wattage on the board, most newer boards don't feed it enough juice.
although they announce the black edition is 125 watts its actually more like 140watts
some boards will still allow the cpu to run at a lesser efficiency while others don't...
lots of AM3+ boards still support your CPU all support your ddr1600 but some might be maxed at 1333
depends on your budget.. they range from 60$ to 200$+
you are running hot... When the cpu reaches 97 it will shut the pc off on it's own. it's not good, but at least you have a failsafe.
the hyper 212 cooler could be a reasonable choice for only 40$
otherwise try leaving the case open, add a 10$fan, or/and clean the existing fans
as of now, there is only one out there that I know of. about 120$CAN
Asus Intel H87I-PLUS Motherboard - mini-ITX, Socket LGA1150, Intel H87 Express Chipset, 1600MHz DDR3, SATA 6.0 Gb/s, RAID, 8-Channel Audio, Gigabit LAN, USB 3.0
crossfirex/sli is available on both
the onboard sound chipset is the same
unless your technically savy, imo the GA-Z87X-OC would be overkill for most users.
then again cost is the same so the GA-Z87X-OC would allow for more customizing in the future
900,000 SimCity players took us up on a free game offer.. and how many of those 900000 players actually play the free game they chose? i took the free game just because they were giving it away, but I have yet to play it. the choices we had were bottom line games and old
too bad they were extremly vague about the mini-itx case,.. we know the 130 elite is coming.. so it's no surprise.. I would have just liked to know when
