Highly probable Graphics Card issue 2 x XFX R9 280X DD

Have you tried running the cards individually? Still seems pretty hot to me too. No option to improve case circulation further?

Looking to Upgrade GTX 760.. Any Ideas?

480 is a good choice. But I agree definitely get a partner made card. Sapphire are one of the best AMD partners. I've read partner cards will start appearing from the 10th onwards but it may be a bit longer than that.

Which gpu for 1080p ultra gaming under $200?

4GB 480 is a good choice. 1060 might be interesting but will be well above $200 The RX 470 might end up being very good too as it is just a slightly cut down 480. Likely a few weeks away from launch.

Low GPU usage. R9 390 nitro problems

I agree with this: Play for 45 minutes or until the problems appear. Note the CPU temps at the beginning and at the end of your session. In fact, do that same for the 390 as that could get hot too if you have bad air flow. Sounds more like the CPU though I think.

How much better is this build than my current one

For most games an i7 makes very very little difference to an i5. You could get an i5 6600k and use the saved money to improve other things. The 290 is a very decent card so it would not be worth upgrading to a 980 or 390x. If you can't stretch to a 1070 right now then I'd suggesting sticking...

    Thinking about upgrading my PC.

Your current CPU is definitely a bottleneck for your GPU. The i5 you chose is decent but you could consider the i5 6500. https://www.scan.co.uk/products/intel-core-i5-6500-s-1151-skylake-quad-core-32ghz-36ghz-turbo-6mb-cache-1050mhz-gpu-32x-ratio-65w-cp It is a bit cheaper and is meant to be...

    2nd R9 285, rx 480, or CPU?

Wait on both accounts. Zen should be very decent, though price is an unknown. One of the good things with Zen will also be the new AM4 motherboards. It is likely they will support future CPUs for some time to come so if you get a 6 core now then in 4 - 5 years you should be able to get a very...

    CrossFire R9 390X

According to this list 390X CF will need a beefier PSU: http://www.realhardtechx.com/index_archivos/Page362.htm 850W might be enough but you might want to look into it more to double check. A new PSU of the calibre recommended is a lot of money and might make upgrading nonviable. An 850w would...

Low GPU usage. R9 390 nitro problems

I think the others are correct, your PSU isn't up to your upgrades. 650w is recommended for the 390: http://www.realhardtechx.com/index_archivos/Page362.htm. I believe some custom highly OC'd 390s recommend higher...Just looked up the R9 390 Sapphire nitro...

Is this laptop good to handle some gaming and video editing

If you can then wait for a few months. Then the mobile versions of the Pascal chips should be out and you will likely get better bang for your Euro. A 960m isn't great. With a 970m you get some decent performance so hopefully the 1060m will have at least the 970m's performance and be a bit...

    Games Not Performing Well

    The wrong time to buy?

1060 isn't expected till the Fall I think so if you return it you might have a little wait. Do you have a card to use in the meantime? You will likely have to wait a few weeks for the 1070 too but obviously that is coming much sooner. Relatively speaking I think the 960 is/was an underpowered...

    R9 390X or wait?

Wait. The 1070s will be out soon and AMD's R9 480x is likely out fairly soon too. We'll know more about Polaris (AMDs new cards) in just over a week. At best guess the 480x will be a little faster than the 390x but much more power efficient and cooler running. I expect the 1070 to be faster but...

Can't decide on a graphics card for gaming on 1440x900 resolution.

1440x900 monitor At that resolution I would think the 128 bit bus would not be a bottleneck. I also do not think it is really powerful enough to use those 4gig VRAM but at least it would mean you wouldn't have to worry about that aspect I guess. I think the 280x is more powerful than the 960 but...
