A light-year is not at least a million years long? Yes, that may be so. All the HDDs I have seen are very bulky and I thought the laptop had an SSD since the start as it booted up so fast. I copied the information from the device manager not bothering to even look. It is fixed now! Thanks again...

Hmm... maybe the drive is mechanical. I have always thought the laptop had an SSD since the boot up was extremely quick. Further it looks like an SSD, very compact, but perhaps my intuition failed here. EDIT: You are correct.

Are you absolutely sure of this? No use in contacting data recovery company? Any ideas what the beeping is about?

I have an Acer V3 331 laptop, having issues with an HDD (ST500LT012-1DG142). All of the sudden after a forced shut down the laptop no longer found the HDD (no bootable devide found), while the HDD made a series of beeping noises every 2 seconds. In the BIOS the HDD was not detected at all...

My Acer Aspire laptop´s keyboard acts defectively all of the sudden. The two bottom rows trigger many keys at once. For example pressing d or c types out "dc", pressing g f or v types out "gfv". Any ideas what could be wrong? Cleaning the keyboard night help, but I don't know how to open it up...

I use the high end CPU for editing tasks and data manipulation which do not require a GPU more powerful than that which is included on an Atari. For me the integrated GPU works well, similar case for many office workers I recon. I think it's a question of cost and since none of us really know...

I bought a computer few months ago and filed the Toptechcash back. After filling the claim no one contacted me and I did not receive a cashback. With their 7 days appeal policy I did not even have the time to refile the claim at the time. Interestingly, searching this forum yields no results...
