I bought a computer few months ago and filed the Toptechcash back. After filling the claim no one contacted me and I did not receive a cashback.

With their 7 days appeal policy I did not even have the time to refile the claim at the time.

Interestingly, searching this forum yields no results for Toptechcashback. Does anyone else have experiences of this service? Does it work at all or is it a scam?

Hmmm Website claims it's run by Intel. I wonder why Intel would not more prominently feature their association with the site?

On the face of it I'd say it seems like a scam, but then, it may be a promotion of sorts. Have you called the number they provide on the website?

In reading web hits, it does seem legit. I'd call them and if you qualify and everything went OK with your submission, then you should be OK.

That is indeed an excellent question. And the lack of talk about it in general. I would assume that everyone would be using it, since it's free cash after all.

Unfortunately their policy is that appeals should be sent within 7 days of filing the claim, otherwise it's void. So I don't have any reason to call them at this point.

I think there is a difference between a appeal for rejection and no response. If they are legit, they would treat them differently. So maybe, "take one for the team", call them and see what they say, then report back. That way we have one more record on the Internet on their reliability and legitimacy. :)

I sent them an e-mail, will see if they respond. But indeed their policy is that if they don't respond you have to within 7 days:

"Once the claim has been received, you will receive confirmation of receipt by email from help@TopTechCashback.com stating whether or not the claim for cash back has been successful. It is the claimant’s responsibility to contact the agent using the email address above within seven (7) days of their claim being sent if an email acknowledgement has not been received. "

It's a strange policy given that there is no statement for exactly how long you should wait for the confirmation before contacting them, and also in that you lose if they screw up. But hey, free cash is free....
