Ok, so $280 later I bought a new motherboard and returned the power supply. New motherboard fixed it, what could of damaged my old motherboard? Glad my pc's working again but wtf.. happened under low stress not high temps, can't imagine what broke the old mobo. Thanks for your time

What could of possibly happened to the motherboard? If a new mobo fixes it, how can I fix the old one or can I sell it? It's a good mobo that worked great before.. Thanks

Ok, so turns our microcenter wont look at any custom liquid cooled PC without it being drained, so I just bought a psu and tried it. Psu did not fix it, I took out the CPU to inspect for damage but it looks fine. Should I go buy a new motherboard and return the psu? What do you suggest? Thanks

I'd like to add my point of view as well. I have the same monitor (Dell aw3418dw) and found that I had to upgrade my 1070 to a 1080 ti once I got it, this monitor is very demanding. I play more modern triple a games though, and For MMOs that 2070 should do great. I'd be worried about games like...

It may work, but it won't work in duel or quad channel and will lose some performance because of that. You should sell your ram and buy a kit the size you want, in a standard size like 16 or 32 GB (you wont use more than 16..) For them to be in quad channel you'd need to bottleneck all the ram...

I had a gtx 1070 and when I upgraded to a 3440 x 1440 monitor, I had to upgrade that too because it couldn't keep up! Might have to lower settings with those cards, I'd look for Vegas 64 or 580 minimum from AMD

GPU first, you'll see noticeable improvement and you should just wait for the new cpus
