    Obviously it will feel hot at 77-78. That temp is normal for this GPU. Basically the temp is normal for any GPU to be honest. Don't worry about the temps. Worry about that non-branded cheap PSU. You're saving a few dollars but that might end up costing hundreds. Better spend $60-$80 on a PSU...

    Oh wow. I didn't even pay attention to the PSU he mentioned. The card temps are perfect. The burning smell is probably coming from the PSU when under load.

    I did call the shop and talked to the guy, He says its normal for the card too. According to him 85c is normal and hitting the 88 mark in there is nothing to worry about. He did say if I'm not satisfied I can get it replaced within 10 days.

    It's pre-owned. I got it from a trusty shop though. They will replace it without question if I go back but its like an hour's drive for me and I don't wanna go back for no reason. So thought I'd ask here before making the trip.

    Same overheating issue with me. Asus Strix RX570 4GB that goes 88c under 100% load. Idle temp is 34c. System is DELL T3500 with X5690 @ 3.4Ghz. Airflow is 2 140mm fans on the front and 2 80mm fans on the back for outflow. Dell PSU 525W 80+Silver. Just got the card today.
