    At first when getting the motherboard it worked till an extent when doing that but i just tried that again to double check and see if it was gonna do something different and it wont even go to the bios when i try and do that now.

    Motherboard is a msi z390 gaming plus and i have an i7 9700k. it did the same thing with my i7 8700

    Ive tried that aswell, I just got this motheerboard too so i dont think it is that. It does the same with the other slots.

    Yea sorry mistyped that, I changed the timings but it still does the same thing.

    Ive tried xmp and it wont boot. Sometimes without xmp it boots but thats like a 50/50 chance. the timings are what they are set as default. I dont know why xmp works with only one stick.

    i have a brand new rtx 2070 super and it is seriously changing the core clock to around 1600 from 2000 depending on which way im looking in my games,im really confused if this is normal and it does this in multiple games. please help
