    CPU Running Curiously Hot

I just wanted to add something regarding thermal paste and such. Firstly, I'd always recommend using Arctic Silver 5 as it's simply one of if not the best out there. Whenever you take off the heatsink and put it back you must take off all the old thermal paste and apply new. I like to wipe...

    CPU Fans: What to choose?

You pretty much just have to go by reviews and what other people are saying to really gauge the extra cooling you'll get by adding the new cooler. I have had good experience with my Arctic Cooling Freezer 64 Pro on my AMD setup, and would recommend the Intel version...

Going to need a new 939 CPU cooler

I've had good experiences with my Arctic Cooling Freezer 64 Pro. It's very quiet, keeps my CPU at 32C idle (with Arctic Silver 5), and the best part is it's only $30 (I actually got mine for $20 when newegg ran a $10 instant savings deal on it). Says it fits "All AMD Sempron, Athlon 64, Athlon...

Coretemp wild readings vs Asus PC probe

Well, you did say it was Core Temp beta, so they may not have completely worked out all the kinks yet. Anyway, every time I've used Asus PC Probe it has been pretty much right on the mark. You said the you made sure the heatsink was still secured on. Mobo temps usually don't jump around so...

    Safe MB temp?

45C really isn't all that hot. My mobo is running at 38C idle right now and on my old PC it used to run around 45-47 idle. Believe me 45C is nothing to worry about.

Help Overclocking a BFG 7800GS AGP

First off, I'm running the 7900GS PCI-E version, but I would assume there's not a huge difference. I used Nvidia's nTune utility to overclock. You can download it for free from their website: http://www.nvidia.com/object/ntune_5.05.18.00.html It has some very nifty options that it comes with...

Interesting CPU-Z reading in my RAM Timings Table (pic)

So basically I was looking around on CPU-Z at all my different things and noticed something a bit weird. It's under timings table and I'm not sure what to make of it. Can anyone give me any advice on why it would be like this? Is this normal? The only RAM I have installed is a 1gb (512x2)...
