update: i figured this out with the help of Shadow-R it was solved by reseating the cpu both ram slots are working now

hi guys im back for more help i had upgraded my dell 660s i5 3300 to i7 3770 and the 8gb 1600 ram to 16gb 1600 ram but it has all been crappy . first of all it has ran too hot like 70-85 degrees and then the ram had a cas of 7 which the dell didnt know what to do with so it downgraded the ram...

ok so lets just say i buy the phantek entho pro i should mount the kraken at the top with the fans on top of the radiator pushing air through the radiator as intakes and then turn the rear 140mm case fan backward as an intake as well and then switch the front 200mm fan as exhaust am i right ?

i cleaned it out about 2-3 days ago when i installed the i7 3770. when i was running the i5 3300 it was about 8-10 degrees cooler.i thought when i upgraded the cpu and applied arctic silver 5 that it would be at least a few degrees cooler. i have already made sure the the heatsink is well...

hi i have a stock dell 660 with a stock intel cooler my i7 3770 idles around 45 degrees c and surfing the web it peaks around 62 degrees c ,but gaming it can peak at 84. my case sucks it only has i think an 80mm exhaust fan and thats it with no room for more. i tried opening up an empty...

i gues i should have googled that cause it been asked many times what i came up with is there shouldnt be any difference in game wise so not worth opening case.if im wrong please post back cause im starting a high demanding game (witcher 3) tonight. thanks

that must be it cause my last sticks were 1600 cas 11 and worked . would you switch them back to stock for gaming. any difference in 1333 cas 9 vs 1600 cas 11? thank you

ok i wont worry then. ive been running Intel XTU as mentioned above while gaming and it has never gone over 78 degrees.. thanks again for all your help

thanks for your replies so i shouldn't worry that at the bottom of real temp where it says maximum is around 80-82 ?

i just replaced my processor and im not so sure i did the themal paste right. when using real temp while gaming every 5-10 min i alt +tab out and check real temp and all of the cores temps are usually around 55-70 degrees Celsius but near the bottom where it says maximum the temps are always...

hi i just upgraded my ram and cpu at the same time. when i first booted it restated once before it got to windows but been running for about an 1hr now without any issue. the problem is i had 8gb of ram 4x2 brand was hynix pc3 12800u and it ran at 1600 mhz. i upgraded to 16gb g.skil trident...
