    Office build.

Hey folks. Just need some final input on a build im doing for a friend. I'ts almost only gonna be used for web browsing and office work, but I thought a little extra performance won't hurt. The newegg links below are just for reference, I'm not gonna be bying there because I don't live in the...

    Asus P5Q Deluxe

Can't help you one the memory question but maybe on the audio. The HD audio might be the onboard audio chip that you can either install via the driver on the DVD that came with the board or simply turn off in the bios as you don't need it anymore. Or; the HD audio can be the one on the HD4870...

Help Me Choose DDR2 RAM For My Mobo and CPU

I have a Q9450 on a P5Q-E. Using 4 GB Coarsair XMS2 DHX PC2-6400 RAM. It's a damn good kit if you ask me. Got Fantastic reviews too. Heres a link: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820145194 Remember to manually key in the timings (4-4-4-12) and voltage (2.1V).

    CPU cooler for P5Q deluxe

I'm also using a Xigmatek HDT-S1283 on a P5Q-E, very recommendable. Just for your information, it also clears the NB heatsink if mounted the other way than how Proximon placed it (clears by aprox 2 mm).

    Seagate Barracuda 7200.11 500GB RAID 0

Hey, im thinking of getting a second Seagate Barracuda 7200.11 500GB drive for a RAID 0 configuration. My question is how much this would improve overall performance and loading times of my system. My setup is: CPU: Intel Q9450 MB: Asus P5Q-E RAM: 4GB Corsair XMS2 DHX PC2-6400 (CL4-4-4-12)...

    New Build need help!!!!!!

From a review on newegg: Thats really a major downside imo! On a more serious note; none of the reviews mention anything about lack of space for the cooler. With that being said, you might have to remove the side fan if you are unlucky. I vote for another case like suggested earlier, just to...

    memory for asus p5q pro?

Get these: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820145194. It's high quality RAM with good timings (4-4-4-12). Running the same on my P5Q-E. You might have to manually set the timings and voltage in the bios, just so that you know.

    Best memory for Asus PQ5-E?

The RAM you posted are fine, running those myself on the same board. Just be sure to get the ones with 4-4-4-12 timings. You will have to manually set the timings and 2.1V ram voltage in the bios as the board set them to 5-5-5-18 by default. Hope this helps.

    Q9450 idle temp.

Cheers, i'll read through that guide. I only plan on doing a slight overclock to 3.2 GHz so my only concern is the chip health. I don't really care about the temperature relative to reviews of that same cooler as long as it keeps me in a safe zone. Returning when I did the calibration.
