Ok guys, i'm a newbie here, this is my first attempt to build a PC.
Well... i'm going to build a computer with an estimated price of $1800 USD. The problem is that i'm residing now in Mexico, because of my father's job, so, i must buy PC parts from online stores that accept international payments, i've tried to buy parts here but the problem is that THERE ARE NO PARTS HERE, and if there is any they're VERY EXPENSIVE.

I saw a guy selling an ATi Radeon HD4870 at MercadoLibre.com.mx at $500 USD!!!one

So, i'm here for asking some help!...

I made a list of parts i'm planning to buy, tell me what do you think, btw i'm buying parts from NextWareHouse, cuz they accept international payments with VISA, Master Card and American Express cards, also if you have a better place to buy parts that accept international payments with these cards, tell me, it'll be very appreciated:

** VIDEO CARD: x2 Sapphire ATi Radeon HD4850: $407.4 USD

**PROCESSOR: Intel Q9450 processor: $350.28 USD
Note: I heard that the Q6600 is worth more for the money if you can overclock it. But i think the 12MB cache will help me here. I guess i can overclock this @ 3.5Ghz. Damn locked multiplier....

**POWER SUPPLY: Corsair 750W ATX 12V power supply: $179.31 USD
Note: I don't know about power supplies, but i heard this one is quite enough for two HD4850's. Oh and btw the model is: CMPSU-750TX

**HARD DRIVE: Western Digital SATA II 3.5 inchs. 1Terabyte: $222.82 USD

**DVD BURNER: Sony 20x DVD-RW w/LightScribe: $28.58 USD
http://www.nextwarehouse.com/item/?661417

**COOLER: Asus Silent Knight cooler: $28.58 USD
Note: I think this is a good cooler for overclocking, but if you think this cooler isn't good at all, tell me, thanks!

**MOTHERBOARD: Asus RAMPAGE formula: $315.82 USD
http://www.nextwarehouse.com/item/?643185

**RAM: Corsair XMS2 - 4GB DDR2 PC6400 4-4-4-12 latency: $147.53 USD
Note: I'm a total noob when i must choose the right RAM, i really don't know about this, can you guys help me with this one? I chose this one cuz it has low latency and has 4GB, but i really don't know if this is good enough.

The total cost of the system is: $1,705.95 USD

I will wait for your comments, i will be very grateful.
Thanks for helping me!!

Change the cooler for the Xigmatek HDT-S1283 + bracket.
Get a case too :)

Other than that i think your build looks really good.

Great build, change the cooler.

I am hot and cold on the Xigmatek cooler. I hear that it can provide exelent cooling but I also hear that it is a PITA to get working right. Some other alternatives would be a Scythe Ninja or Turniq Tower. Bouth offer exelent cooling and are fairly easy to set up. In any case, the newer 45nm quads pump out less heat than the older 65nm parts so a massive cooler is not as important (unless you are stuck with out A/C in Mexico, man that would suck).

If you can spring for it, get a pair of Artic Cooling AcelS1 coolers and "Turbo Module's" (yes, I know you can't order from the states but now you know for sure what you are looking for). The 48xx series cards are fast but VERY hot with stock coolers.

Best luck with your new build and enjoy Mexico :??:

Thanks! I will change the cooler outlw6669 :)
Oh, and twattle, i have a case, that's why it's not on the list :)

No problems fitting that large Xigmatek CPU cooler in that Armor case.

The Rampage motherboard has plenty of room for the aftermarket GPU coolers.
But with the big 25CM fan on the Armor case I really think you can get by without the ARCTIC COOLING ACCELS1 addon cooler.

Yes, it will just fit between your cards.
The advanced cooler makes it a 2 slot design.
The fans add another slot to the required space.
Your Mb has triple spacing between the PCIe slots so it will fit fine in that direction.

The AC S1 also raises the heigth needed to fit the card in your case.
It should be fine but you may be pushing towards your cases side fan.
It is not raised by to much, maybe 1/3 to 1/2 again the heigth of the card.

I would not be so sure about that. I have a pair of 4850's in Cf with 4 120mm fans blowing from my side panel. Even at stock speeds with the coolers fans upped to 45% (and they get damn loud, even this low), they still idle in the upper 50's lower 60's. Not to bad you say? Game for a little while and they are both hitting the upper 90's and even throttling a little at 100c.

From someone who has a pair, as soon as I can find a reputable dealer that will ship to Germany I am getting a pair of the previously mentioned coolers.

Ok then, that answers all my questions. So, the coolers will fit correctly between the cards. Hmmm... guess i'll pick the coolers. :??:
Thanks everybody for helping me! :D
