    Problem solved by switching to AHCI mode in Bios version 1.3.2, and switching back to UEFI with Secure Boot off, and choosing not to use full drive encryption in the installer. I still have problems with the Right USB port shutting the whole computer down even in Linux Mint.

    I dont know. I use a VPN and sometimes it resets my DNS and I have to go into properties to turn it back onto automatic. It usually just resets the ipv4 one. But why would running that command cause my computer to reboot over and over and explorer to not work??

    Lenovo y510p games almost unplayable

    I think i may have solved it....the laptop was running in some sort of "power saving mode" in the lenovo energy management center. Switched to "High performance mode" and ran a couple of games, so far I don't see any stuttering and they are playable. *Facepalm*
