If you are implying that your case fans are blowing directly onto the cooler's fans, then I doubt the case fans are being put to much use. is there somewhere else you can mount them? no such thing as too many fans. lol I want to fill up all 6 fan locations on my case with white LED fans.

same exact motherboard model(replacement) and same exact settings. same processes running(fresh windows install with only motherboard drivers.). I know how to apply paste and did it correctly. I'm probably going to clean and reapply it just for the heck of it and see what happens, but I expect...

I had the same problem before and it eventually finished the installation. It was hanging up. Took hours. Are you using the install disks that came with it or did you download the media yourself?

I would also do it that way. Only benefit of having it in the front is that it's further away from heat, but having some intake fans in the front will probably make more of a difference.

you could save money by getting a b250 motherboard and using the stock cpu cooler. then you could put more money into the graphics card

lose the z170 motherboard in favor of a b150 motherboard since you aren't planning to overclock, and that will allow you to either a)simply save some money, or b) upgrade another component, say like going to an i5-6500/6600, 16gb ram, or 8gb 480/gtx1060 6gb

the cpu, motherboard, and ram combo you are talking about is almost $500 alone. or... G4560, 16gb RAM, and motherboard combo is only $260. then a 6gb GTX 1060 for $250. you could always upgrade to the i5(since it's the same socket) once you save more money. if you just want to get your build...

If you can afford it, go ahead and get 16gb of RAM. I wish I would have, just incase it's ever needed. Other than that, I have basically the same setup, which I consider to be ideal for 1080p Ultra 60FPS gaming on a budget.
