    Same test just carried out. No luck unfortunately. I really do appreciate all the help though. This has puzzled me for over a year. I even tried a clean install of windows at one point with no luck. I cannot find a solution anywhere. Absolutely bizarre.

    Thats it really other than my monitors. I use PCIe WiFi and my headphones I only plug in when I use them for gaming. Right now I use them for work on my work laptop.

    So doing this it hung on restart for a bit (roughly 15 seconds) and then the screen went black but nothing else. After a few minutes I had to manually restart on the tower again

    Thank you for that. I have just had a talk with my wife. I am purchasing a power board that has surge protection an an individual on/off switch for each port.
