    Ah by click I meant the plastic tab isn't going over the metal tab, not the sound, would it be a problem if ran the card without clicking the tab over the metal?

    Ooh wait, the bit on plastic in the connector that secures the cable, does that need to go all the way over the metal wedge so that the plastic is sitting behind the wedge? Or just on top of the wedge? Right now the plastic is on top of the wedge. Wow im bad at explaining things, also...

    Ahhh well I'm dumb. I've got a working windows key and a USB to install windows from. Well I guess I just wasted my money. Heck. (In my defence the sales guy didn't tell me what kind of hard drive it was ugh I'm so dUMB) I'll try installing the OS tomorrow, pretty mad at myself ngl..

    I haven't installed a new os on the new drive since I can't access it due to not being bootable. Maybe I'm missing something? Not too experienced here sorry

    Im just going to return it to the store, I guess it works out haha. I use the PC for gaming and a surveillance drive.. well.. I guess the fact that it's dead is good! I know the cables are working and I don't waste my money.

    Either way, the BIOS says it's running F18. The SkyHawk was the only option at the moment sadly.

    Changing up SATA and power cables does nothing, the SATA cables tested were all connected and displaying properly. The HDD doesn't display regardless. The new HDD is a Seagate SkyHawk 2 TB ST2000VX008. I had a Barracuda from Seagate before, the SkyHawk was the only drive available to me...
